1. Leading-in
Present pictures about a field trip of Tom and Jerry. Students are supposed to tell a story about Tom and Jerry’s trip by following the clues given by the pictures.
2. Activity 1
Complete 8 phrases in Exercise 1 independently and check them with their desk mates.
3. Activity 2
Choose at least 4 phrases in Exercise 1 and try to write a short story about one trip students have had. Students are reminded to pay attention to the past tense of the verbs.
4. Activity 3
Students are encouraged to complete the conversation by using the useful verbs provided in the parentheses and act it out with their partners.
5. Summary
Students are guided to review the verb phrases learned in this unit and try to recall their past tense. The teacher emphasizes the special changes of the verbs’past tense.
6. Homework
Try to write one of your best trips and remember to use the past tense of the verbs.
